About Us

At MSB, we recognize Trust Is Earned™, not simply claimed.

By doing so, we can then craft state-of-the-art solutions to meet your transacting, borrowing, and investing needs in a secure, transparent, and cost-effective manner. Let us help you Go Fearlessly Forward®.

Community Reinvestment Act (CRA)

The CRA encourages financial institutions to help meet the credit needs of the communities in which they operate, including low- and moderate-income neighborhoods, and requires that a financial institution’s record in helping meet the credit needs of its entire community be evaluated periodically. A financial institution’s performance evaluation is also considered when reviewing applications for deposit facilities, including mergers and acquisitions.

Under the federal Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) evaluates our record of helping to meet the credit needs of this community consistent with safe and sound operations. The FDIC also takes this record into account when deciding on certain applications submitted by us.

Your involvement is encouraged.

You are entitled to certain information about our operations and our performance under the CRA, including, for example, information about our branches, such as their location and services provided at them; the public section of our most recent CRA Performance Evaluation, prepared by the FDIC; and comments received from the public relating to our performance in helping to meet community credit needs, as well as our responses to those comments. You may review this information today.

At least 30 days before the beginning of each quarter, the FDIC publishes a nationwide list of the banks that are scheduled for CRA examination in that quarter. This list is available from the Regional Director, FDIC 300 S. Riverside Plaza, Suite 1700, Chicago, IL. 60606. You may send written comments about our performance in helping to meet community credit needs to Senior Vice President, Lynn Famighetti at McHenry Savings Bank, 353 Bank Dr., McHenry, IL. 60050. You may also submit comments electronically through the FDIC’s Web site at www.fdic.gov/regulations/cra. Your letter, together with any response by us, will be considered by the FDIC in evaluating our CRA performance and may be made public.

You may ask to look at any comments received by the FDIC Regional Director. You may also request from the FDIC Regional Director an announcement of our applications covered by the CRA filed with the FDIC. We are an affiliate of McHenry Bancorp, a bank holding company. You may request from the Regional Direct, Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, 230 S. LaSalle St., Chicago, IL. 60604 an announcement of applications covered by the CRA filed by bank holding companies.

STATE OF ILLINOIS COMMUNITY REINVESTMENT NOTICE

The Department of Financial and Professional Regulation evaluates our performance in meeting the financial services needs of this community, including the needs of low-income to moderate-income households. The Department takes this evaluation into account when deciding on certain applications submitted by us for approval by the Department. Your involvement is encouraged. You may obtain a copy of our evaluation. You may also submit signed, written comments about our performance in meeting community financial services needs to the Department.

Website Accessibility

McHenry Savings Bank (MSB) is dedicated to presenting a website that is as accessible as our physical branch locations. We have utilized the guidance of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) as published by the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C.)

While there is not a standard test or a certification of conformance to Level A or Level AA of the WCAG, we have used and continue to use a variety of methods for evaluating accessibility. If you find a part of the site that you feel does not conform to Level A or Level AA of the WCAG, contact us so that we can attempt to rectify it.

  • Contact the Marketing Department by phone at (815) 331-6411.
  • Communicate with us by emailing marketing@mchenrysavings.com
  • MSB strives to make every page accessible to users but cannot guarantee each page fully meets Level A and Level AA guidelines.
  • Some pages may have partial conformance due to the use of third-party vendors. Therefore, MSB does not claim full, site-wide conformance: instead a partial conformance, as defined by WCAG Level AA 2.0. We cannot ensure conformance of third-party plug-ins and widgets.

Implementing enhancements to our website (WCAG 2.0 standards where applicable) continues to be an ongoing priority for us.
