At McHenry Savings Bank, the health and well-being of our clients, colleagues and communities is critically important. There continues to be an influx of new information daily and government, business, and institutional responses continue to evolve based on the changing information and recommendations. We take your trust in us very seriously and are committed to being responsive to your needs as events unfold. So, I appreciate the chance to update you on what we're doing right now at MSB to protect you and your family.

In that context, we are focusing on alternative access methods and temporarily restricting access to our branch lobbies (effective March 18, 2020) to support community health management efforts. We look forward to lifting that restriction as the situation normalizes. In the interim, we offer several options to meet your banking needs:


Online and Mobile Banking

We strongly encourage you to use MSB's digital tools and other resources for self-service banking and 24/7 account access. You can access your MSB accounts online or by downloading, installing and using the MSB mobile app from your App Store (carrier fees may apply). With these online tools, you can: make payments; view transactions; check balances; deposit checks; find ATMs and more. It is easier and faster (in most cases) to manage your account digitally. If you have not enrolled in online eBanking access, it only takes a few minutes - Enroll Now.


ATMs

Our ATM and debit cards come with a "No Map, No App" philosophy for personal account ATM usage. That means personal customers can use any ATM in the United States up to three (3) times in a statement period and the foreign fees will be reimbursed to you.


Drive-thru and Night Deposit Services

The drive-thru services remain available during normal business hours and can accommodate most banking services. Customers may continue to use the night drop boxes at all of our locations.


Telephone Inquiries

Our bankers will be available to help you via phone at (815) 385-3000, and our business continuity planning includes advanced phone applications to minimize your wait times. We will have a limited number of in-person appointments available in our main facility each day for transactions that require in-person visits.


Protect Your Information - Fraud Schemes Are Increasing

There are a growing number of fraud-related schemes associated with the Coronavirus Global Epidemic. We ask that you take care and please be vigilant to verify the legitimacy of any organization or individual who is asking you to provide them with sensitive data, personally identifiable information and/or money. Beware that criminals use email, websites, phone calls, text messages and even fax messages for their scams. Remember, if we reach out to you, we will never ask for confidential information such as your name, password, personal identification number (PIN) or other account information. If you didn't initiate a call to a business, simply call the business yourself to VERIFY they were indeed the one who reached out to you prior to sharing any information over the phone, via text, on websites, etc.

So, while we all work together during this stressful time, please be patient with us if we ask more questions to verify your identity (particularly when you call in).
